New to OCIS – what’s AOM meeting like?

I’m new to OCIS, and I’ve never been to OCIS or AOM. I didn’t get anything ready in time for the papers deadline, but I’m thinking of attending anyway. I looked around for doctoral consortium info on the OCIS website and didn’t see anything for this year. Does anyone know if there will be one or if I already missed that deadline too?

  1. Hi,

No you have not missed the deadline. I think that it will be announced soon…

FYI- The deadline of the last year’s OCIS Doctoral Consortium was 5/18.

  2. For doctoral students the AOM conference is a great place to meet current (and future) colleagues, to be exposed to lots of research ideas, and to get a sense of what it takes to submit an accepted paper. It can also be a lot of fun!
